It is meant to facilitate compliance with the good manufacturing practices GMP requirements outlined in part 3 of the Regulations. For example, specific methods to achieve GMP compliance in sanitation may vary with the particular operation. This guidance document sets out GMP requirements; however, they are not regarded as the only interpretation of the Regulations. Alternative means of complying with the Regulations will be considered by the NNHPD when an appropriate rationale or justification is provided.

Paint is a term used to describe a number of substances that consist of a pigment suspended in a liquid or paste vehicle such as oil or water.
